Fluid Industry Solutions
Typically, a fluid filling line consists of four coordinated machines: a filling machine, capping machine, weighing machine, and labeling machine. In China, the most common types of fluid filling lines are rotary, linked, and linear.
In fully automated fluid filling line control systems, Delta industrial automation products enable complete automation of monitoring and control, significantly reducing labor, ensuring smooth operation, and improving production efficiency.
A fully automated fluid filling machine consists of four main stages: filling, capping, weighing, and labeling.
In the filling stage, bottles are first conveyed to the filling station by a conveyor belt. The outlet cylinder then closes to seal the empty bottle and stops the conveyor. Simultaneously, the left and right lifting mechanisms drive six filling nozzles to fill the bottles. A flow meter monitors the real-time filling volume, and the filling nozzles shut off when the preset volume is reached. The lifting mechanisms then raise, the outlet cylinder opens, and the conveyor resumes to transfer the filled bottles to the capping machine.
The Delta control system solution uses Delta’s HMI series to communicate with multiple Delta PLCs, enabling control and monitoring such as low- and high-speed operation of oil pump motors, conveyor motor frequency settings, six-channel filling nozzle volume settings, and status display of all mechanisms. The PLCs receive sensor signals, control solenoid valves, adjust inverter frequencies, and collect instantaneous flow data from the filling nozzles.
The control system mainly consists of Delta HMIs, servo drive systems, inverters, and PLCs. With this solution, the fluid filling line operates with high stability and accuracy, achieving a fully automated production process.
