PRODUCT FEATURES

The Delta IFD8540 is a versatile communication device that converts between Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) networks and RS-485/RS-232 (MODBUS protocol) interfaces.

It is BLE-certified, supporting Bluetooth 5.0, operating in the 2.4GHz frequency band with frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) for extended range and faster transmission speeds, while utilizing AES-CCM 128-bit encryption for enhanced security.

The device supports multiple BLE protocols, including IG Mesh for standard Bluetooth Mesh at 15 Kbps with a 50m effective range, Instaburst Mesh at 160 Kbps with a 10m range, and GATT protocol at 2 Mbps with a 50m range, compatible with the Delta SmartViewer app.

Users can configure station numbers, BLE groups, RS-485 communication formats and baud rates, or reset to factory defaults via software or hardware interfaces. Communication and power are fully isolated to provide strong anti-noise performance, and both BLE and COM signals are available for easy troubleshooting.
