The Delta AS Series Motion Control CPU is equipped with multiple communication ports and dedicated motion control network interfaces (EtherCAT/CANopen).

It provides an internationally standardized motion instruction library, supporting synchronous motion of up to 16/24 real axes, with virtual axes supporting up to 32-axis synchronization.

Applications span woodworking, electronics manufacturing, packaging, printing, textiles, and pharmaceuticals, making it highly versatile for industrial automation.

AS516E (EtherCAT) supports 16 axes / 1ms, up to 16 real axes.
AS524C (CANopen) supports 4 axes / 2ms, up to 24 real axes.

The CPU supports encoder axes and virtual axes without the need for additional encoder modules.

Basic motion control functions include speed, position, homing, torque, and position setting for single-axis operations.

Advanced functions include electronic gear, electronic cam, rotary cutting, and support for G-code/axis group instructions: 8-axis linear interpolation, circular interpolation, and 3-axis helical interpolation.

Compatible with AS series modules for faster I/O response and program compatibility with next-generation DVP-MC series motion control CPUs for cross-platform integration.

Future firmware updates for AS516E will support third-party EtherCAT slave devices, increasing system flexibility.
